Đurić with Tanin: ZSO should be established without delay (KIM radio)
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić met with UNMIK chief Zahir Tanin today. They discussed the political and security situation in Kosovo and dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, reported KIM radio.
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić emphasized that Belgrade wants the full implementation of the agreements reached in Brussels, especially those related to the Community/Association of Serb municipalities, which, according to him, must be established without delay.
Đurić conveyed to Tanin the concern of the Government of Serbia due to a series of statements by Albanian political representatives that "deepened the atmosphere of distrust in the Serbian-Albanian relations and made a dangerous step towards destabilization of the region," reported KIM radio.
Đurić stressed the importance of "protecting the property rights of Serbs in the province, in order to foster the return of displaced persons and guarantee the survival of those who live there now."
KIM radio reported that the meeting discussed and the necessity to treat the property of the Republic of Serbia, as well as legal entities and individuals in Kosovo, in accordance with international legal standards.
