DSS: Serbian Government to urgently explain news on NATO military drill in Serbia (Beta, Blic, RTV)

Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), has requested today from the government to urgently explain the news that NATO military drill will be held in Serbia next year.

Radio Free Europe reported earlier that NATO military drill will take place in Serbia and the news was confirmed by the Ministry of Defence. “The Government is obliged to explain, to all citizens of Serbia, and foremost to the families of victims of NATO aggression and to those who died due to the consequences of depleted uranium bombardment, what are the reasons that NATO for the first time is holding a military drill in a state that made its military neutrality official,” DSS press statement reads. They also called upon the new Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin to address the public and explain the reasons why he changed his attitude “that NATO is evil”. Meanwhile, Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin, stated to Tanjug it is not NATO drill but a regional initiative. Vulin said such initiative exists since 2013. “Till now this regional initiative was conducted in Turkey, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Greece and Jordan, and next year it will take place in Serbia. This is a command-headquarters exercise, supported with some computer simulations and these exercises also took place earlier in our country”.
