Djuric: Serbia will never recognize Kosovo independence (TV Most)

The Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Djuric said to the Kosovo Dialogue Minister Edita Tahiri “to stop the mantra on the necessity of Serbia to recognize unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and Metohija, as it will never happen,” TV Most reported. Djuric further said “it is an absurd that Mrs. Tahiri, who is known as one of the most extreme and the hardest among the politicians in Pristina, stigmatize anyone as a chauvinist, and if there is a state in the region whose political discourse is not based on chauvinistic ideas, then it is Serbia.” Djuric also added that because of unbridled and rude behaviour, she had also shown in her latest public appearances, Tahiri was told to leave the meeting in Brussels, in order not to spoil the constructive atmosphere of a dialogue. “Instead of stubbornly insisting on the creation of mistrust and fear among her compatriots, Mrs. Tahiri should, if she really wishes good for her people, constructively engage in the dialogue on the future of the region and Serbian-Albanian relations, but also stop the mantra on the necessity that Serbia recognizes unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and Metohija, as it will never happen,” Djuric concluded.
