Đurić: The politics of ethnic cleansing continues with the arrests (RTS)
The arrest of people on the basis of some secret lists is just an excuse for continuing the policy of ethnic cleansing of the Serb people from Kosovo, says Marko Đurić, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, reacting on today's arrest of IDP near Suharekë/Suva Reka.
"Today, police in Mušutište, near Suva Reka, became an open instrument in the chauvinist policy of preventing the return of displaced Serbs," Đurić said, reports RTS.
The arrest of people on the basis of some secret lists is just an excuse for continuing the policy of ethnic cleansing of the Serb people from Kosovo, says Marko Đurić, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, reacting on today's arrest of Bogdan Mitrovic during visit of IDPs to Mušutište near Suharekë/Suva Reka.
Đurić further states that Mušutište in recent years was a symbol of the suffering of the Serbs and that it was a gathering place for "the hardest Albanian chauvinists'', and that instead of providing conditions for the return of displaced persons to that village and showing that they are turning a new page in Serbian-Albanoan relations, the authorities in Pristina, send punitive expeditions to Serbs who dare to visit their homes and church, Radio Television of Serbia reports.
"We understood this message, and once again to politicians in Pristina and to the international community, we say that our patience is not unlimited, and that normalization of relations can not be if the other side does not want it," Đurić noted.
