Declaration on defense of Kosovo, Rakic's reaction (Kontakt plus radio)
Representatives of the Dveri Movement, Otadzbina (Fatherland) Movement and Genuine Serbia party, gathered in Mitrovica North on Monday, to present the “declaration on the defense of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo”. During the presentation, they were attacked by unknown people with stones and torches, leader of the Genuine Serbia, Milan Stamatovic told Serbian media.
The declaration reads that” “Kosovo and Metohija is an inalienable part of the Republic of Serbia, currently occupied, and it is necessary, without postponement, to inform the international public about it (….)
It further said that no citizen of Serbia, exercising a public function has the right to sign the binding document, legally renouncing Kosovo as integral part of Serbia.
It calls upon the Government of Serbia to annul all written and verbal agreements reached in Brussels (…), and to launch an initiative at the UN bodies so the talks about Kosovo would be held exclusively within the framework of the United Nations Security Council (….)”.
Commenting on the declaration, in a statement delivered to Kontakt plus radio, President of the Srpska Lista, Goran Rakić said on Monday evening that the Declaration, which was offered by Boško Obradović, Slaviša Ristić and Milan Stamatović is nothing more than an invitation to destabilize the situation in KiM and the rest of Serbia, something which the Serbian people cannot benefit from.
Rakic also said that always in the decisive political moments in the political scene, populists of various types emerge, who are trying to profit from the concerns of citizens by offering light, but in fact unattainable or dangerous solutions, Kontakt plus radio reported.
Rakić further opined that the consequences would be the isolation of Serbia, the dramatic deterioration of security in Kosovo itself, and an introduction into the economic and any other fall of our country.
