Marko Đurić invites citizens to vote for Srpska Lista (KIM Radio, TV N1)
Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Đurić issued a press statement today, by which he urged all Serbs in Kosovo to vote for Srpska Lista, Serbian media reported.
“I am calling on the citizens of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija to support the candidates of the Srpska Lista in the local elections on October 22, because in this way, among other things, they will vote against the break-up of links of Serbs in the province with the state of Serbia and against the denial of the rights of our people in the province on having their own national interest.”
“The upcoming local elections are not an opportunity for a person to solve his/her own existential problems, to employ himself/herself, a family member or a relative, these elections are of the existential importance for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.”
Đurić said that it was clear that in Serbian-majority municipalities the local authorities would also be Serbs, but pointed out that it does matter which party would win and whether the party would get support from Pristina or Belgrade.
Đurić also stressed that Srpska Lista strives to have the best possible candidates in the upcoming elections and pointed out that there is a long line of “doctors, engineers, professors, learned people and hardworking heads of households who placed themselves at the disposal of Srpska Lista and their people in Kosovo and Metohija”.
