Drecun: Spanish stance on Kosovo favorable to Serbia (Tanjug, TV Pink)
Chairperson of the Serbian Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told Tanjug news agency Spain insists on stance of non-recognizing Kosovo.
Commenting on a non-paper, Spain has sent to the European Commission, saying that Kosovo is not a part of the Western Balkans enlargement process, Drecun said Spain does not accept stance that Serbia is blackmailed.
“In fact Spain insists on stance of non-recognizing self-declared state of Kosovo and does not want to allow that it goes out of a status-neutral framework in any format.
Spain also insists that membership of the Balkan states to the EU cannot be used for solving political problems. It means Spain does not accept the stance Serbia should be blackmailed, to give up on Kosovo and Metohija for the sake of the EU membership, more respectively to recognize this self-declared state, but rather insists that Kosovo issue is resolved beforehand” Drecun told TV Pink.
Drecun also added, this is favorable to Serbia, as Serbian state leadership, including the President Vucic, said many times Serbia wishes to resolve this issue with Albanians, Tanjug news agency reported.
