Kosovo Minister for Local Governance and Administration, Ivan Todosijevic and Head of UNMIK’s Office for Community Support, Leonid Markaryan discussed today functioning of local self-governance and municipal structures responsible for the protection of community rights.

Appointments of deputy mayors for communities and the role of the local municipal offices for communities in Kosovo were also discussed. Todosijevic highlighted support UNMIK offers in the protection of community rights as very significant.

At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation is the only way to reach a solution to the problems, Radio Kosovska Mitrovica reported.
