The building of the elementary school in Gracanica, Kralj Milutin (King Milutin), beside the pupils of that school, is a place and for pupils of two secondary schools as well as the pupils of elementary music school, reports KIM radio. The director of this school, Vladimir Milkic, told KIM Radio that this situation lasts since 1999, and that often happens that certain classes take place in the dining room, the hallway and teachers' room. He says that there are currently 714 pupils and that there are classes with 35 pupils. Teacher of this school says that the lack of space was created when the three schools were forced to move from Pristina, and move into this primary school, reports KIM radio. This teacher points out that this problem also affects the quality of teaching. "When it's a bad weather, I do not want to keep the kids at -15 outside, we stay in the hallway. If there is no space, we keep five classes in the gym...," the teacher says. The director of this elementary school expects from local government representatives to fulfil their promise and help the school facility to expand, reports the radio. "Gracanica Municipality, together with Mayor Srdjan Popovic, promised to build at least three classrooms and one wet node during this calendar year," Milkic says. However, the director of education in the municipality of Gracanica Brankica Nicic says that for this year there is no planned expansion of the school building.
