“Journalists should more actively deal with Oliver Ivanovic murder” (KIM Radio, New Press Production)
Belgrade-based portal Insajder journalist Senka Vlatkovic-Odavic said in “Slobodno srpski” broadcast journalists should more actively deal with the case of Oliver Ivanovic murder, KIM Radio reported.
She thinks Ivanovic’s murder is political and no one should remain silent, and this should be the topic of high interests for the journalists. “Very few people even know the name of a prosecutor dealing with Ivanovic’s murder, and God forbid someone asked a question. Closing in a local environment where you cannot get answers limits you. My suggestion is get out of there and ask questions. We are asking questions and will continue doing so. It is horrible that we know nothing about this case (…),” Vlatkovic-Odavic said. She also spoke about an investigation of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate launched over Marko Djuric’s arrest in Mitrovica North, saying it would not yield serious results. She touched upon Insajder portal serial titled “Patriotic Theft” focusing on how the finances from the Serbian budget were spent in Kosovo. Vlatkovic-Odavic said they are still waiting for the results of that investigation. “This is a serial that was very well done, and afterwards the Serbian Assembly Survey Committee dealt with the ways how the finances were spent, however the Assembly of Serbia never put on the agenda discussion about their report (…),” she said.
