“Scandalous attacks against Bishop Teodosije and Father Sava” (RTV KIM)
Attacks against Bishop Teodosije and Father Sava Janjic show insincerity, hypocrisy and false attempts of the current Belgrade authorities and “their alleged struggles” to “save what could be saved in Kosovo and Metohija,” Serbian MP and editor of NSPM political portal (Nova srpska politicka misao) Djordje Vukadinovic said, RTV KIM reports.
Vukadinovic condemned political and media hunt against Church dignitaries that started after Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije sent an appeal on preventing the division of Kosovo.
“This is for any sort of condemnation. I am speaking personally, politically, analytically; whatever you like. Scandalous, contra-productive and sends a bad message not only to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, but to all Serbs everywhere, and it sends some sort of an indicator to the international community, that when they speak against the independence of Kosovo they would not take them seriously,” Vukadinovic said.
He expressed concern if the most moderate voices in the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo can be treated like this, what opposition representatives or ordinary citizens in Kosovo and Metohija disagreeing with the stance of the official Belgrade authorities, could expect.
“The highest church dignitaries and people who are permanently witnessing and taking part in a struggle for remain of the Serb population in Kosovo, who in the best way promote the idea of Serb presence in Kosovo and Metohija, all of a sudden become an issue and targets of the most primitive and vulgar attacks (…),” Vukadinovic said.
According to him, previous authorities are also responsible for such situation about Kosovo, but the current one, in particular with Brussels agreement, contributed to the deterioration of the Serb options and positions in Kosovo.
Vukadinovic also opined that political hunt against Bishop Teodosije and Father Sava Janjic in fact indicates how the pathological situation in the society it is, when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija, RTV KIM reported.
