Mustafa tells what happened at the meeting of the political leaders (zerinfo)
The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, posted on his facebook profile the impressions from Wednesday’s meeting of the party leaders. “I want to share with you my good impressions from yesterday’s meeting with the leaders of Kosovo political parties,”wrote Mustafa.
“The host of the meeting, the U.S. Ambassador, Tracey Ann Jacobson and the representative of the European Union, Samuel Zbogar, as in other occasions, helped us with their constructiveness to clarify our positions and get closer to the solutions for important issues that have to be closed prior to preparing the country for elections.
We have discussed openly about all the issues and agreed to continue our discussions to find better solutions on endorsing the Law for Kosovo’s Armed Forces and eventually, the Law on elections. The most important thing is that we agreed that none of these issues should be conditioned with any other process” writes Mustafa.

Hoxhaj: KAF continues to have international opponents (zerinfo)
Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj, stated for KTV show Rubikon, that Kosovo’s Armed Forces continues to have opponents in the international arena.
“There are countries that continue to be reserved on establishment of KAF. During their meetings with the Serbian party, they always speak about KAF,” said Hoxhaj.
However, he expressed optimism that the agreement of Kosovo political leaders will be reached. “We can vote KAF,” said Hoxhaj, expressing pessimism when votes from the minorities were concerned.
Speaking about the special court, Hoxhaj said that they were not aware of the matter before January of this year. He added that there were other options on the table, and they managed to draw the best one possible.

A group of Albanians attacked in Gracanica (kohaonline)
A group of Serbs attacked last night in Gracanicë/Gracanica the expedition of 15 individuals who intended to walk from Gjilan/Gnjilane to Brussels, to convey Kosovo’s message on visa liberalization.
One of the walkers, Jani Mustafa, said that the attack happened in presence of the Police. According to him, around 15 Serbs, came out of a café and attacked them, stabbing one of them on hand. “They put one of them down hitting and kicking him,” he said adding that the police intervened and arrested two of the attackers.

U.S. State Department: Kosovo marked progress on counterterrorism (koha)
The U.S. State Department has published the annual report of the Bureau on Counterterrorism, which says that the Government of Kosovo continued to cooperate with the United States on counterterrorism-related issues in 2013, and demonstrated progress in improving its counterterrorism measures. “Kosovo adopted amendments to legislation, including part of a new Criminal Procedure Code (CPC), and made strides in law-enforcement actions against terrorists. Because the security and political situation in northern Kosovo continued to limit the government’s ability to exercise its authority in that region, the cooperation of the NATO Kosovo Force (KFOR) and EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) with the Kosovo Police was particularly important to maintaining a safe and secure environment and strengthening the rule of law, including at the borders.
Although Kosovo and neighboring Serbia did not directly cooperate on counterterrorism issues, in 2013, the governments implemented an Integrated Border Management (IBM) agreement with joint checkpoints. In April, Kosovo and Serbia signed an EU-facilitated agreement on normalizing relations, which should help address the security situation in the north and improve the ability of the government of Kosovo to exercise its authority there. Kosovo government institutions have been aware since 2012 that a small group of Kosovars have traveled to fight in Syria,” stresses this report.

Deputy Naser Osmani in hands of the Police (kohaonline)
Koha online has learned that deputy of Democratic League of Kosovo, Naser Osmani, entered Kosovo today at 06:30 in the morning and he was immediately arrested by the Police. He is already being interviewed by the investigators, reports this portal.
