Bloc enters a ‘new situation’, seeks a way out (Koha Ditore)

On the front page, the paper says that the post-election coalition bloc remains united, at least until Monday. In a meeting that lasted an hour and a half, the leaders of the Bloc agreed that there is now a ‘new situation’ and a solution needs to be found for it. Leader of Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, spoke to the media after the meeting and although he said no decision was taken, he did say that many things were clarified. “There was a lot of discussion but these issues will be resolved at a table within the Bloc and we will choose the best option for the country”, said Haradinaj who added that they will continue meetings in the coming days. He also said that it is not the leader of Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa, that is asking him to step down from prime ministerial candidacy but it is his party, the LDK, as it feels it has been damaged following the decision of the Bloc to give up the post of Assembly speaker to the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).

Jacobson: Assembly session needs to be called (Koha Ditore)

US Ambassador to Kosovo, Tracey Ann Jacobson, said that the next step for Kosovo is announcing the next Assembly session. “Moving forward with Assembly session is indispensable next step for overcoming Kosovo’s political impasse”, wrote Jacobson on Twitter.

Kosovo and Serbia visits to be arranged through liaison officers (Tribuna)

As of December, Pristina and Belgrade liaison officers will deal with all preparations regarding official visits from Kosovo and Serbia representatives as part of efforts for normalizing relations. The office of the EU High Representative confirmed that Belgrade and Pristina delegations meeting in Brussels agreed for the visits to be handled by their respective liaison officers.

Possible EULEX indictees to be tried in Kosovo (Koha Ditore)

Kosovo prosecutor, Armend Hamiti, and a prosecutor from EULEX have been tasked by the Kosovo State Prosecution to lead investigation into corruption allegations inside EULEX. The paper claims the investigative process has been entrusted to a prosecutor with no more than two years work experience while a press release issued by the Kosovo State Prosecution, says the inquiry into corruption allegations was launched early this year in cooperation with EULEX and if the process results in an indictment, the accused will face justice in Kosovo.
