Exclusive: Mustafa considers withdrawal. Haziri and Osmani continue the battle for LDK leader (Gazeta Blic)

Sources within the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), told this portal that the current leader of the party, Isa Mustafa, might withdraw from the race of regaining another mandate.  “Major work and engagement as the Prime Minister of the country, has put Isa Mustafa in front of the dilemma of whether to run for another mandate. Isa Mustafa will most probably withdraw from the competition for the leader of the party,” said this source.

The same source added that if Mustafa decides not to run, then he will support Lutfi Haziri in the field, due to the continuous support that the latter gave him on the coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

Although no one from LDK wanted to make an official announcement on Mustafa’s withdrawal, a deputy from the LDK leadership told Gaztea Blic in condition of anonymity that this could be Mustafa’s tactics to test the opinion of the LDK membership.

On the other hand, the most voted woman deputy in Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has already made her candidature public. She stated that these elections should be a competition for quality and not an arena for blackmails and promises for jobs.
