CDHRF reacts to vandalism against Slovenian businesses (Kosovapress)
The Pristina-based Council for the Defense of Human Rights and Freedoms (CDHRF) has reacted today against the vandalism against Slovenian businesses in Pristina after the detention of Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) leader Ramush Haradinaj by Slovenian authorities in Ljubljana airport on Wednesday. The CDHRF notes in its reaction that attacks against the IPKO Company and the NLB Bank in Pristina are attacks against the free market economy and against possible future investments. “The vandalism against Slovenian businesses in Kosovo and the call to boycott Slovenian products makes no sense because Serbia, the country that has requested the arrest of Mr. Haradinaj, annually imports suspicious products in Kosovo in the amount of over €500 million ... The CDHRF supports every peaceful protest for the release of Mr. Haradinaj ... but it does not support and condemns every violent act against businesses and investors in general. The CDHRF calls on the Kosovo government to undertake legal measures and protect businesses and investments, otherwise, it will be held responsible for possible consequences and threats to the lives of businessmen and citizens. The CDHRF calls on the Kosovo government to use all diplomatic means for the release of Mr. Haradinaj so that he can return to Kosovo as quickly as possible. The hate speech should be replaced by reasonable actions, otherwise, we will all suffer the consequences,” the CDHRF reaction noted.
