The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa said that the statute of the Association of the Serb-majority Municipalities, will be drafted and based on this, it will be established.
Speaking on demarcation, Mustafa said that this issue is in the hands of the international commission. The Prime Minister admitted that Serbs are an obstacle for the establishment of Armed Forces. He said that Serb political parties are preventing the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into the Armed Forces of Kosovo. He requested inter-party dialogue to overcome all obstacles. “We have to find a common language, in order to jointly overcome these issues. We should work on election reform, because we have to make this reform happen,” Mustafa said for Radio Free Europe. “We also have to work on other important issues, such as European integration or transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into Armed Forces of Kosovo,” he said. “We are trying as much as we can to overcome these obstacles and hesitations, especially of the Serb minority, because if it wasn’t for them, I am saying it openly, the transformation would have happened a lot earlier, because KSF made all the necessary preparations to transform into the Armed Forces of Kosovo,” Mustafa said.
