Kosovo Serbs should clarify their position with Belgrade (Koha Ditore)

KTV’s Editor-in-Chief, Adriatik Kelmendi, in an opinion piece today writes that the problem of Kosovo Serbs to a great extent is "a product of Belgrade’s coward leadership." "All governments in Serbia so far have attempted to hide from Kosovo Serbs the fact that Kosovo’s independence is irreversible process," writes Kelmendi. So, according to him, the government in Belgrade, for personal interests and by trying to avoid dealing with the weakness of economic development, creation of new jobs and other issues, continues not to be sincere with Serbs in Kosovo. “Belgrade officials finally convinced themselves that Serbia has lost Kosovo, but they are actively trying not to allow Kosovo Serbs to integrate in Kosovo institutions.  In this context, I believe Kosovo Serbs should clarity their position with Belgrade. They should force the Serbian government to clarify their true intentions. Because, if things continue as they are, I am afraid that unfortunately Kosovo Serbs will continue to remain collateral damage from the Albanian majority and politicians from Belgrade," Kelmendi concludes.
