The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, has met today with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci. Later, she also received the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic.
The meetings were held prior to the joint Mogherini- Thaci- Vucic meeting, where the parties were expected to exchange opinions on the continuation of the dialog, and the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as overall developments in the Western Balkans.

After the meeting, Mogherini wrote on her Twitter account “Agreed with Aleksandar Vucic and HashimThaci to start new phase of Belgrade - Pristina dialogue.”

Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci wrote also on Twiiter that “moving from technical normalization to reconciliation between Kosovo and Serbia will require hard work, trust and patience.”

In another tweet he added that reconciliation and fully normalized neighborly relations between Kosovo and Serbia is an aim to secure peace for our children. A worthy aim.
