Serbian president attends reception hosted by US president (Tanjug)
NEW YORK - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has attended a reception US President Barack Obama hosted for the world leaders gathered for a meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The reception was held on Tuesday and Nikolic thanked his US counterpart for the invitation and said that Serbia supported in full the US efforts against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
Obama thanked Nikolic, commended him on good work and expressed hope that he would continue in that fashion, the Serbian delegation told Tanjug.
This year's session, the 69th, of the UN General Assembly started on September 16, while the general debate opened on Wednesday.
The Serbian president will address the assembly on Friday.
