Who's involved in misuses in Kosovo (Blic)

Former Head of Coordination Centre for Kosovo, Nebojsa Covic and his associate Anđelka Radenković are suspects for the embezzlement of more than ten million euro.

The investigation included a total of six persons. Beside Covic and Radenković, in the investigation are included former head of Kosovska-Mitrovica District, Dragan Kalaba, and two company directors who were contractors of controversial contract, Idriz Šijak and Bojan Radovanovic. The sixth suspect is not available to the prosecution.

Covic, Radenković and Kalaba are suspected of misusing state funds for the construction of apartments and houses in Kosovo, which were never built. They are also suspected for abuse of money of the state enterprise "Kongrap", which was relocated to Kosovska Mitrovica.

Special Prosecutor's Office began work on 25 August 2014, under the amended criminal complaint, which from the original six million euro increased to more than ten million. As we learned, Andjelka Radenkovic signed the contract with the company, "Daki", whose director is Idriz Šijak.

A contract on building apartments in Kosovo was never realized. In addition to it, the prices per square meter were initially “overrated.” According to the contract, the company "Daki" was supposed to be paid about 860 euros, although at that time, in January 2004, the price for square meter was mostly around 400 euros.
