Five members of the main board left the Independent Liberal party (Kontakt Plus radio)
Members of the General Board of the Independent Liberal Party (SLS) Bratislav Nikolic, Dalibor Jevtic, Sasa Milosavljevic, Jelena Bontic, Jasmina Zivkovic and full membership of the municipal board of SLS in Strpce/Shterpce left the party. In a statement they said they have resigned from all positions and membership in the SLS and that their act is the consequence of dissatisfaction with the situation in the party and the inability to influence on it.
-We regret that the Independent Liberal Party, after the great success that we have achieved together, became disoriented and undemocratic organization which no longer realizes the objectives around which we gathered - said a statement.
It added that after a long time of public silence and countless attempts within the SLS to contribute to solving problems for which almost all officials or are leaving the party or are intensively thinking about it, we decided to leave the organization and inform the public.
"We emphasize that this decision was delayed due to the fact that first the local elections were held and soon after the parliamentary, in which the abandonment of our party could have been maliciously interpreted".
The statement added that the resignation was submitted after big election victory in Strpce/Shterpce in local and parliamentary elections, which is the best proof that they do not leave the party because of the functions or privileges, but because of deep disagreements with arbitrary power of a man.
In consultation with our partners, current activists of the Independent Liberal Party of Strpce/Shtrpce, we decided to continue our political work uniquely and to invite a wider front of men to resolve the numerous challenges that lie ahead, said former officials of the SLS.
They rejected in advance all the speculation and said that resignof MPs from the SLS Sasa Milosavljevic, Jelena Bontic and Jasmina Zivkovic does not question the joint appearance of Serbian deputies in the parliament of Kosovo.
"We strongly support the unique appearance of Serbian deputies in the Assembly, joint work in the formation of the Association of Serbian municipalities and any other initiative that will affect the quality of life of Kosovo Serbs" - the statement adds.
Minister for Communities and Returns Dalibor Jevtic, members of the Kosovo parliament and mayor of Strpce/Shtrpce Bratislav Nikolic will give their greatest possible contribution, stands at the end of the statement.
President of the SLS is the current Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Slobodan Petrovic and the party at the last parliamentary elections in Kosovo participated within the Serbian list.
