Analysts: Solution is Jahajga’s resignation (Blic)

Political analysts in Pristina reiterated that without political will, there is no way out from the institutional crisis in Kosovo and Metohija, and according to some of them, key for the solution is president of Kosovo. Analyst Shpend Kursani points out that the adequate address for the solution of the crisis over the formation of institutions is Atifete Jahjaga. Kursani said that Jahjaga could solve the crisis, if she wants it. She should resign, and Kosovo assembly would elect Isa Mustafa as president of Kosovo. This would open the way for the establishment of all the institutions of Kosovo. So, Kosovo president could be the key to a solution," said Kursani. Analyst and commentator of the daily Koha Ditore, Halil Matoshi told that there are two solutions; the PDK of Hashim Thaci can go into opposition and definitely understand and realize that no one wants them in coalition. The second solution is that opposition bloc vote PDK candidate for President of the Assembly, and then immediately after electing, dismiss him. Political analyst from Pristina Fatmir Sheholi told that Kosovo does not have a political crisis, because there is a majority in the Assembly. 'When neither party would have a majority in Parliament, it is logical that we would then be in a political crisis. Since there is a majority in the Kosovo Assembly, it should be just allowed that the majority form institutions', says Sheholi. He added that the President of Kosovo 'should not just send invitations to the leaders of political entities. She must also use all possible powers, as stipulated by the Constitution of Kosovo'. Also, according to Sheholi, President does not need to hide behind some meetings with the leaders, and she should clearly stand on the side of democracy. 'If the president of Kosovo is not able to implement democracy then she should consider her future moves," said Sheholi.
