Jahjaga at the "world's shadow government" (Danas)
Belgrade - Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga was invited to a meeting of the European Group of the Trilateral Commission, on the 1st of November, which will be held in Belgrade from 31 October to 2 November, said Arber Vllahiu to Danas, advisor of the Kosovo President.
He, however, refused to say to Danas who also will attend this meeting, and what topics will be discussed. Institutions of Serbia and EU representatives in Belgrade, on the other hand, did not respond to the Danas’s question, what is the reason of Jahjaga’s visit to Belgrade.
The Trilateral Commission brings together the most powerful people in politics, business and the media, and is called the "world's shadow government." The European branch has 175 members; Germany has 20, France, Italy and the United Kingdom 18 each, and Spain 12 members. Representatives of the European group of the Trilateral Commission, meet once a year in the fall, and this time it would be in Belgrade.
Serbia, which became a member in last year's meeting in Berlin, has three members. These are Jovan Kovacic, president of the East West Bridge company (East West Bridge - EWB), co-chairman of the company and a former state secretary of the Ministry of Energy Dejan Novakovic and former official of the New Democracy party and the executive director of EWB Tahir Hasanovic.
When it comes to the regional conference that will bring together ministers of foreign affairs, economy and trade, and for which was thought it will be the reason for the arrival of Jahjaga to Belgrade, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said today that it has decided that it will definitely take place on 23 October. They added that invitations to ministers from the region have not yet been sent, but it's going to be done "in accordance with the Brussels agreement."
