GI SDP: No more obstacles for ZSO constitution (dailies)
The agreement reached by Belgrade and Pristina in the continuation of the dialogue on normalisation of relations removed the obstacle for the constitution of the Community of Serb municipalities (ZSO), Citizens' Initiative 'Freedom, Democracy, Justice' (GI SDP) stated on Tuesday.
GI SDP recalled that the achievement of the agreement posed an obstacle to the talks on ZSO constitution for almost a year.
Now that the obstacle has been removed, we hope that the agreement on constitution and functioning of ZSO would be achieved soon, GI SDP released.
The Initiative expects that Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) to be protected and that Serbs employed in the judiciary would not be left jobless.
Ensuring existential conditions for the employees in the judiciary means creating conditions for their survival in the southern Serbian province, GI SDP released.
The release states that the agreement on the judiciary needs to serve the conduct of justice in all parts of Kosovo-Metohija where Serbs live.
On grounds of the information from Brussels about the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina on the functioning of the judiciary, we expect Serbs to be protected and the legal system to function in keeping with European standards as one of the most important tasks of EULEX, GI SDP released.
Another round of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina was finished in Brussels early on Tuesday morning with the result that an agreement on judiciary was initiated, ensuring participation of Serb judges in trials in north Kosovo.
