Bishop Teodosije: Kosovo in UNESCO means occupation of the SPC (Danas)
Bishop of Ras and Prizren Teodosije said that claims of Kosovo Deputy Foreign Minister, Petrit Selimi, given in an interview to Danas, are unacceptable. Selimi said that "the question of Serbian Orthodox heritage will not be discussed in Brussels, since it was already discussed in Vienna, within the Ahtisaari plan."
According to him, the Diocese of Raska and Prizren proposes the immediate opening of the dialogue about Serbian heritage in Kosovo, under the auspices of the EU and preventing the process of Kosovo's entry into UNESCO. "Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) is prepared to once again, in front of all Member States of UNESCO, confirm its concern because of refusal of the dialogue by Pristina. SPC is also prepared to warn that admission of Kosovo in this organization would mean imposed and open occupation, particularly in situation when only the Serbian heritage in Kosovo presents UNESCO facilities," said Bishop Teodosije in the press release.
