CI SDP released a statement that the founders of this party will remain in the SDP, stressing that the Assembly members from North Mitrovica and Zvečan/ Zveçan who left the party will not change the work and unity of the party. The statement also reads that Oliver Ivanović with few members, years ago, founded the SDP and that "whether in jail, or at home, he is the one that brings important decisions, together with closest leadership."

"In particular, the unity of the party will not be harmed by those who were elected on our list, thanks to Oliver Ivanović, and then switched to the other party. They did not want to return the mandates, although Oliver Ivanović asked them to do so, in order to comply with the democratic principles which are guiding value of all of us," reads the statement of CI SDP.

The CI SDP points out that the new, young members joined the party, assessing that they are confident that the number will be increased.
