Pristina will not manage Trepča (Večernje Novosti)

The issue of Trepča Complex cannot be solved without Serbia, because Serbia is its owner. Representatives of six municipalities with Serbian majority stressed that Trepča Complex, as the largest economic entity in Kosovo, is of strategic importance for the survival and prosperity of the Serbian people in the province. “With the position that Trepča issue cannot be solved without Serbia, which is also the owner of that Complex, we wanted to prevent the intention of Pristina to issue a unilateral decision, and announce a law under which Trepča would become a public company of the Kosovo government. In the municipality of Leposavić, in two mines Belo Brdo and Crnac, the ore is collected from the side of central Serbia. Beside the capital invested in the construction of Trepča capacities, the mines are clear evidence that this issue cannot be solved without Serbia,” said Dragan Jablanović, mayor of Leposavić/ Leposaviq.
