Ivanovic: We move on (KIM Radio)
“Srpska Lista was not our opponent, our opponent was the entire Government of Serbia with all its resources. When you take that into consideration, our result is not that bad,” leader of the Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) Oliver Ivanovic said to KIM Radio.
According to the preliminary results Ivanovic won 1.462 votes in Mitrovica North, more respectively 18.98 percent.
“Our result is within the frame we foresaw. We cannot be pleased with the results, but we move on. I have to underline once again conditions were very hard, a huge machinery worked for the Srpska Lista,” Ivanovic said.
He also said, that GI SDP did not have a chance to present its political programme and to talk about it. Ivanovic added that turnout in the elections was higher than ever before and that a high number of invalid and conditional votes should be indicative, KIM Radio reported.
At the end, he concluded that GI SDP would most probably have three to four municipal assembly members in Mitrovica North, and that they would be a constructive opposition.
