Haradinaj would come to Presevo and Belgrade; Stefanovic: He will be arrested; the warrant is in effect (Kurir, Presheva Jone, Kossev)
Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that the local authorities in the Medvedja municipality, in the south of central Serbia, invited him to visit the place and he added that he was ready to visit both Presevo and Belgrade also if invited and if his visit had a protocol, writes today Belgrade based tabloid Kurir.
According to Kurir, Haradinaj said that in Belgrade he would represent "his country at some international summit" because he believed that only "meetings and mutual encounters with prime ministers from the region can contribute to peace and stability, in this case good neighbourly relations between the two countries, as Kosovo and Serbia...".
Kurir, referring to news agency Presheva Jone, based in Bujanovac, wrote that Haradinaj was invited by the local authorities of Medvedja to the traditional manifestation "Encounters at home - 2018".
This event will be attended by hundreds of Albanians from Medvedja and other municipalities of the so-called Presevo Valley, and Kosovo, Albania, FYROM, and besides Haradinaj, President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, Foreign Minister Bedzet Pacoli, Gnjilane Mayor Ljutfi Haziri, are also invited, reports the tabloid.
As for the visit to Presevo, writes Kurir, Haradinaj said that it did not depend on his will or will of Pristina, but also from Belgrade.
"I am not like (Marko) Djuric to move like a 'kacak' (the term used for Albanian rebels in the past) - illegally. My visit will have a protocol and it will be with the permission of Serbian and international authorities, and it should be realized as all the visits of other world leaders," Haradinaj said.
Quoting Presheva Jone, Kurir writes that the visit of the Kosovo Prime Minister would come after his stay in Tirana, Skopje and Podgorica.
Haradinaj added that, in addition to fraternal relations with Albanians from the so-called Presevo Valley "a lot more is connecting us, even more, knowing their role and contribution to the liberation of Kosovo,'' writes today the tabloid.
Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic says in a conversation with Kurir that the court's warrant is in effect and that Haradinaj will be arrested if he enters Serbia
- Warrant for him by our court is in effect and he will certainly be arrested if he is available to the police, says Stefanovic for Kurir.
