Prime Minister in resignation Ramush Haradinaj has sent a letter today to the Interpol Assembly announcing that Kosovo's application for membership in Interpol is being withdrawn, portal Kosovo online reports.

Bearing in mind that parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on October 6, I kindly request that application for membership be postponed until the next session of the Interpol General Assembly, Haradinaj wrote.

Serbian prime Minister Ana Brnabic said in Poznań on Friday that her Kosovo counterpart Ramush Haradinaj told her the news on Pristina’s ban on Belgrade's officials’ visits to Kosovo was fake news, the Beta news agency reported.

Brnabic, who attends the Western Balkans Summit in Poland, as a part of the Berlin Process, said she was surprised that the advisors to “the so-called Foreign Minister spread fake news,” adding “she was glad (the news was fake since that reduces tensions in the region).”

Haradinaj stands firmly behind the position that there would be no abolishing of the taxes without the recognition of Kosovo even seven months later.

“The current dialogue did not move in a good direction. A dialogue framework is needed in order to sit at a table again,” he emphasized. According to Haradinaj, this framework is „recognition.“

Ramush Haradinaj, Kosovo's Prime Minister, told KoSSev portal that a solution for the normalisation of relations between Pristina and Belgrade was in Serbia’s recognition of Kosovo's independence and that without it the import taxes would stay in place and there wouldn’t be any dialogue.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic says that most probably there will not be a meeting in Paris.

Unnamed diplomatic circles told Belgrade based daily Blic that representatives of Berlin and Paris will hold a series of unofficial meetings with Haradinaj and Thaci this week to prepare for a meeting on July 1 in Paris.

Blic reports today, citing a diplomatic source that several meetings have already been held.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told Belgrade based daily Kurir that there is a certain will of Germany and France to hold a meeting in Paris, but there are also large reservations regarding the outcome of that meeting, KIM Radio quoted.

"If it is not known in advance that the outcome of the meeting will be positive, I do not think there will be a meeting, which would indicate that Haradinaj is stronger than all of them," Dacic told Kurir.

The justice minister of Serbia Nela Kuburovic told Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti that she is not sure that at the beginning of the Court's work, charges will be raised against high-ranking persons, replying to a question whether she expects Kosovo Prosecutor's Office to indict Hashim Thaci, Ramush Haradinaj and Kadri Veseli.

"If there was a will, that would have already happened," the minister said in an interview with today's Vecernje Novosti.

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic says he is not angry, but disappointed, when speaking about the upcoming meeting with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and the mild reaction of the EU towards the ROSU incursion to Kosovo North, reports portal B92, quoting Belgrade based TV Prva.

The Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced in mid-April that Belgrade’s first countermeasures to Pristina’s taxes would arrive ‘around St. George’s Day.’ The decision on the countermeasures, however, has not been made yet.

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce stated that the reciprocity to this measure would not have a big effect due to the small size of imports of goods from Kosovo, while any other type of countermeasures would jeopardize Serbia’s political position.
