Opposition leader files criminal charges against Serbia’s President in respect to Kosovo (N1)

Regional broadcaster N1 reports that the head of the opposition Dveri Movement Bosko Obradovic said he had filed criminal charges against Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic who he said violated the Penal Code in his meeting with the US senators last week, N1 reported. Obradovic specified that Vucic had breached the Articles 305, 306, 307 and 320 of the country’s Penal Code in respect to Kosovo.

The president of the European Movement of Serbs from Kosovo, Rada Trajkovic told Belgrade news agency FoNet that the "sole reason" for initiating a dialogue between the authorities and the opposition in Serbia was an attempt to hold and the opposition partially responsible in case Kosovo was taken out from the preamble to the Serbian Constitution.

The justice minister of Serbia Nela Kuburovic told Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti that she is not sure that at the beginning of the Court's work, charges will be raised against high-ranking persons, replying to a question whether she expects Kosovo Prosecutor's Office to indict Hashim Thaci, Ramush Haradinaj and Kadri Veseli.

"If there was a will, that would have already happened," the minister said in an interview with today's Vecernje Novosti.

Minister Nenad Popovic responded to yesterday's statement by Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, stating that the idea of a "delineation of Kosovo" cannot be an official policy because it is contrary to the Constitution.

"I'm glad that Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, in just 24 hours, changed his mind on the idea of 'delineation', and he no longer claims that such an idea is an official state policy, but says it is a proposal of some state officials,'' Popovic says in a statement delivered to Tanjug.

Djuric: An illegal armed formation, KFOR to disarm them (Serbian media)

Regional broadcaster N1 reports that Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric told reporters in the Government of Serbia that Kosovo Army for Serbia is an illegal armed formation on the territory of Serbia, formed with an aim of violently changing the borders of the country.

"The decision on its formation aims at violent change of the borders of our country and violation of the established position of our southern province by the Constitution and international," Djuric told reporters.

Blic: "Vucic is close to the decision on the elections"

Belgrade based daily Blic reports today that Serbia could have an early parliamentary election in the spring. Blic learns that the president of Serbia and the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Vucic, has talked with his associates and is getting closer to making such a decision.

Vucic: Whatever we do about Kosovo, referendum will follow (Serbian media)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said there are no proposals for a permanent solution for Kosovo, and that he will inform the public as soon as he has anything new.

''Whatever we do, we have to go to a referendum. Regardless of constitutional changes we make - those need to go for a referendum,'' Vucic told reporters during a visit to the factory in Zemun.

Vucic: There is no courage enough to change Constitution (BETA, B92)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, stated he sees there is no courage in Serbia enough to change the Constitution and warned it could block Serbia’s road to the EU.

He added, that those who do not wish to change the Constitution want that everything remains as it is, while those who want to change the Constitution wish to denounce Kosovo, so a solution is not possible in such a vicious cycle. I do not indent to make the Constitution by force, Vucic said, adding that the Constitution has to be a result of a wider consensus.
