When Minister without portfolio Nenad Popovic said “the Brussels Agreement is dead” and there is “no integration into the EU for Serbia anymore,” he was not expressing the view of the Serbian Government, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Saturday, TV N1 reported.
“Every minister in the government is obliged to implement the agreed-upon policy, those not able to do so are free to leave,” Brnabic added.
It is clear the goal because of which Serbia was bombarded in 1999 has not been fulfilled, and Kosovo remains Serbian, also thanking to the efforts of Russia that did not allow changes of the Resolution 1244. This is according to the Serbian Minister for Innovations and Technological Development, Nenad Popovic.
Although it was expected that the polemics between Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic and Minister of Innovations Nenad Popovic on the official policy towards Kosovo and Metohija would get an epilogue at the session of the government, it did not happen.
Commenting on the idea on delineation put forward by FM Dacic, Popovic said that “entire Kosovo is Serbia, not even a meter less.”
Minister Nenad Popovic responded to yesterday's statement by Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, stating that the idea of a "delineation of Kosovo" cannot be an official policy because it is contrary to the Constitution.
"I'm glad that Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, in just 24 hours, changed his mind on the idea of 'delineation', and he no longer claims that such an idea is an official state policy, but says it is a proposal of some state officials,'' Popovic says in a statement delivered to Tanjug.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will certainly bring a message that will encourage all Serbs in Kosovo, Minister of Innovation and Technological Development Nenad Popovic told state news agency Tanjug.
He says Putin will certainly say that Kosovo, for Russia is an inseparable part of Serbia and will continue to support UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Serbian Minister without portfolio Nenad Popovic said on Tuesday that the time is right to take the Kosovo issue back to the United Nations after the European Union failed in its moderation efforts, Serbian media reported.
“The EU has failed as moderator in the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina and now is the right moment to return the Kosovo issue back where it belongs – the UN,” Popovic said in Moscow. He is part of the delegation that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has brought with him to the Russian capital.
Negotiations on Kosovo under the auspices of the EU have yielded no results, without US, Russia and China it is impossible to achieve a viable and applicable compromise between Belgrade and Pristina, said Minister of Innovation and Technological Development Nenad Popovic, adding that the issue of Kosovo slowly returns to the Security Council of the UN, the Serbian media reported.
“The time has come that Serbia has to invite Russia to take an active part in the process of resolving the Kosovo issue,” leader of Serbian Peoples’ Party (SNP) and Minister for Innovation and Technology Nenad Popovic told BETA news agency.
Statement of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama that Albania and Kosovo would have a common foreign policy and a president is directed against the peace in the region and represents a hostile act against Serbia and its people, Minister without portfolio in the Serbian Government Nenad Popovic told RTS.
Popovic further said because of this statement Edi Rama should be declared “persona non grata” in Serbia and the country should send a harsh demarche to the Albanian ambassador in Belgrade.
