US Ambassador to Serbia: To work on the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina (RTS)
US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott estimates the incident in Petric further highlights the need to work on an agreement on a comprehensive normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, which, as he believes, must be ensured the security of Serbs in Kosovo.
"Yesterday's incident in Petric further emphasizes the need for working on an agreement on a comprehensive normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, which must ensure the Serbian population the freedom to participate in the political, social and religious life of Kosovo without fear for their own security," Scott wrote in his Twitter account, reports Radio Television of Serbia.
A group of Serb returnees and internally displaced persons, who came to Petric village near Klina on Monday, to mark the Christian holiday of the Holy Trinity, were stoned by Albanians who blocked access to the church. L.B. who was detained on that occasion, was released a few hours later from a police station in the municipality of Klina, reports RTS.
