Djuric condemned the attack on a young man in Priluzje village (RTK2)
Director of the Office for KiM Marko Djuric strongly condemns the attack on Serb young man in the village of Priluzje near Vucitrn and seek from the competent authorities and the international community to find perpetrators and "prevent further escalation of violence against Serbs in Kosovo''.
"After the recent wounding of Aleksandar Jeftic in Suvi Do and the morning wounding of a Serb young man in Priluzje, it is clear that there is a campaign of violence against Serbs in Kosovo is in progress and are necessary the most decisive measures to prevent the extremists to threaten the peace that was built for years," says Djuric.
The statement further states that the institutions of self-government in Pristina must, if they do not want an uncontrolled escalation of violence in Kosovo, clearly fence from "brutal and subversive ethnically motivated attacks on Serbs and to engage all capacities in order to bring criminals to justice."
"Apparently opponents of peace and coexistence in Kosovo and in this way try to undermine efforts of solving problems on the ground with peaceful means and dialogue and are causing fear and discomfort to Serbs," Djuric says in the statement.
Djuric points out that this morning's attack is another confirmation of the failure of the international community's efforts to establish the rule of law and the conditions for a safe and dignified life of the Serbian people for almost two decades since the end of the war in Kosovo.
