Kosovo Serb Radomir Antic (65) was placed under one-month detention, while Kosovo prosecution launched an investigation against him over alleged war crimes committed in 1999 in the area of Zegovacka Vrbica village, near Gnjilane, Radio kontakt plus reported.

Antic was arrested a few days ago and police found a hunting weapon with expired licence, gun and 40 bullets of different calibre in his house.

Lawyer, Vlastimir Petrovic told Radio kontakt plus Antic was arrested over illegal arms possession, but in the meantime Kosovo prosecution has initiated an investigation over alleged war crimes. Petrovic added that Antic is currently in Gnjilane prison.

Radomir Antic is from the village of Paralovo, Novo Brdo municipality. He is a retired forest guard. He lives in this village with his family and did not leave Kosovo after the conflict, Radio kontakt plus reported.
