Vucic for TV Prva: At the best, Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in December (Serbian media)
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue could continue in December.
He said that early December, at best, would continue dialogue to normalize Belgrade-Pristina relations because of the pending parliamentary elections in Kosovo.
''That can hardly be expected to happen before the elections which I believe will be held on October 6. That means early December at best but before that it’s important to discuss the revoking of the tariffs (on Serbian goods),'' Vucic told TV Prva.
According to Vucic, the problem isn’t whether the dialogue will continue in two, three or six months.
''Time and money are important because of certain political facts. If we manage to maintain peace in those five months, it is not a big problem. In any case, the status quo is impossible because if one rifle is fired not one can stop the thunder of cannon,'' Vucic said adding that ''no one needs that''.
The President of Serbia will meet today with Deputy Secretary of State Matthew Palmer and Vice President of the Atlantic Council Damon Wilson, it was confirmed to RTS.
