Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric said today that dialogue platform of the Kosovo Assembly on negotiations with Belgrade, prevents lasting normality and stability, BETA news agency reported.

“How can we talk based on that platform?” Djuric asked, adding “that a toxic environment has been created in Kosovo and the State Department report registering attacks against the Serbs confirms that.”

“I am convinced that with the final agreement Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja will belong to Kosovo, and I guarantee that Gazivode, Mitrovica North and Trepca will remain within Kosovo,” President Hashim Thaci said after the meeting with Pristina negotiating team, to which he delivered a report on the dialogue with Belgrade, RTK reported.

There are no signs that the format of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina could change any time soon, said Serbia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic on Sunday, adding that Serbia is ready to continue the talks but only after Pristina abolishes its 100 per cent tariffs on Serbian products.

“There are no talks from new starting positions,” Dacic told RTS, the public broadcaster.

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric said Pristina does not want any serious talks about the future and normalization of relations, but instead wishes to continue with provocation, RTS reports.

Djuric noted that Pristina’s decision to appoint one of the most notorious commander of terrorist KLA Fatmir Limaj as one of the heads of its negotiation team is ridiculing the very essence of a dialogue idea.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that Limaj’s appointment is an insult to common sense.

An airplane taking Pristina's delegation to the Kosovo talks in Brussels has "wandered into" the Serb Republic's airspace - thanks to a mistake made in Tirana.

According to reports in Albanian language media, the Tirana air traffic control directed Behgjet Pacolli's private plane used by the delegation to the airspace of the Serb entity (RS) in Bosnia-Herzegovina - that is "controlled by relevant Serb services."

Kosovo Humanitarian Law Centre (HLC) said that during the court proceeding against the Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister, Fatmir Limaj in Djakovica Basic Court, some prosecution witnesses gave up on accusing testimonies they made in earlier hearings, therefore become witnesses of the opposite party in the case, Insajder portal reported.

The Basic Court in Djakovica rejected a lawsuit for the war crimes against Limaj in the case of a murder of two persons in 1998 in the municipality of Malisevo.

Former senior KLA officials told the trial of Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj that they knew nothing of the fate of two civilians – allegedly executed as collaborators with the Serbian regime in 1998.

The trial has continued this week before the Gjakova/Djakovica Basic Court of former KLA commander and current Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj.

Limaj is accused of failing to prevent the killing of two civilians, Ramiz Hoxha and Selman Binishi, in 1998.

Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Fatmir Limaj, said in a press conference that the state of Israel is ready to invest in Kosovo. Limaj said he met a group of Israeli investors who had concrete development plans amounting to around €100 million. “We had a meeting with serious Israeli investors from the agriculture sector because, as you know, Israel is a leading force in agricultural development so investment here is good news for Kosovo,” Limaj said.

Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) leader, Fatmir Limaj, said today that the Assembly of Kosovo and the new government will be formed this week. Limaj made the comments as he was heading for a meeting of PAN and AKR leaders with officials from the Serbian List taking place in Swiss Diamond Hotel in Pristina.

The Kosovo Supreme Court rejected the prosecutor's request for protection of legality in the case "Klecka", confirming an earlier decision to free a group of Albanians suspected of war crimes.
