The name of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) senior official, Lutfi Haziri, has been mentioned as a consensual candidate for prime minister inside the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). Haziri could be the future Kosovo PM if the nominations from the two blocs fail.

Haziri, however, denied the possibility and said that this is a proposal from PDK circles. “I have no comments because this whole situation is linked to two political blocs that are divided and they each have their nominations”, said Haziri.

PDK will try to form government through secret voting! (Gazeta Blic)

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) led by Hashim Thaci will not give up. While most Albanian political parties have decided not to negotiate with the PDK for the establishment of the new government, Thaci’s party has come up with a perfect scenario. “You know that the Constitutional Court has given the right to the PDK to form the government. We have several scenarios to form the government, but the most plausible plan is to use secret voting in the assembly session for the formation of the government,” a reliable source in the PDK told the news website.

Ex-US ambassador Chris Dell to attend opening ceremony of Pristina-Skopje highway? (Gazeta Blic)

There were some strange “coincidences” surrounding the contract and the start of the construction of the Pristina-Skopje highway. First, the contract was signed on the day that the Constitutional Court announced its ruling on who should have the first try at forming the new government. Second, the construction of the highway begins one day before the United States of America celebrate 4 July. Third, could this be Thaci’s last “gift” to his supporters in the U.S., including former U.S. Ambassador to Pristina, Chris Dell, who now works for Bechtel-Enka?
