Rada Trajkovic: Experiment with Serbs in Kosovo (Danas)

President of Serb European Movement from Kosovo and Metohija Rada Trajkovic said the arrest of police officers in the north of Kosovo was not ethnically motivated, but it was a fight against the crime that President Aleksandar Vucic should support, adding she was worried over ‘the experiment’ being conducted with the Serbs in northern Kosovo, Danas daily reports.

Trajkovic added yesterday’s police action disturbed the Serbs in the north, claiming that the Serbian President should have warned better people living there.

Prva TV crew attacked in Zubin Potok, UNS requests protection of journalists (Radio KIM)

Journalist of Belgrade-based Prva TV Zoran Maksimovic was attacked near Zubin Potok, this TV station has said, adding the members of the Kosovo police stopped him and damaged his car Radio KIM reports. According to Maksimovic, a vehicle belonging to Prva TV was completely damaged in the shooting by the Kosovo police and general chaos that occurred.

Serbia concerned with situation in north, ready to protect its people, Dacic says (Blic)

Belgrade-based daily Blic reports that Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said today that he reported to the foreign ministers of the Visegrad Group and the Western Balkans at a meeting in Bratislava that Serbia was concerned about the situation in Kosovo and that it is firmly resolved to protect its people.

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today that in the operation of a special units ROSU and FIT, 23 persons of Serb and Bosniak ethnicity have been arrested in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, mostly members of the Kosovo police.

Speaking in the Serbian Parliament after the session of the National Security Council, Vucic said that this was an attempt to completely criminalise the Serbian people, who is more anxious than ever.

Dodik: This is a fight against survival of Serbs in Kosovo (Danas, SRNA)

Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Milorad Dodik said today’s operation of the Kosovo police special units in the north is a serious blow to the fragile peace in Kosovo and Metohija and an attempt to provoke a new exodus of the Serbs, Danas daily reports.

He told SRNA news agency Serbia has the right to protect its people that remained unprotected even by the international forces that should guarantee the peace to them and Albanians in Kosovo.

KFOR: Action against crime, we do not interfere (RTS)

KFOR has confirmed there is a Kosovo police operation ongoing, in line with the Pristina’s prosecution request and it takes place in an entire Kosovo, claiming same as the Kosovo government, that the action in the north of Kosovo is a fight against the crime, RTS reported.

KFOR Spokesperson Grasso said the action is not directed against the Serbs, but against the people suspected of taking part in corruption and criminal activities. He added KFOR monitors the situation.

The barricade in Zupce village breached, the shooting continues, wounded two Serbs (B92, Vecernje Novosti, Tanjug)

Vecernje Novosti unofficially learn that in the municipality of Zubin Potok currently the most difficult situation. The barricade, set up by the Serbs in the village of Zupce, was breached.

B92 reports that ROSU members now are heading towards the village of Varage, according to Novosti's sources.

Srpska Lista officials left Belgrade, heading back to Mitrovica North (Tanjug, B92, RTS, Prva TV, Vecernje Novosti)

Srpska Lista officials and representatives who were in Belgrade yesterday to attend the Serbian Assembly session on Kosovo and Metohija have left Belgrade and head back to Mitrovica North, Tanjug news agency reported.

Meanwhile, RTS said citizens of Mitrovica North started to gather at city centre over intrusion of ROSU unites While TV Prva and Tanjug said six persons are arrested, Belgrade-based Vecernje Novosti daily claims number of arrested persons is seven.

 

Kosovo police arrests three persons suspected of organ trafficking (TV N1, KoSSev)

Kosovo police arrested two foreigners and Kosovo Albanian near Pristina under suspicion of being involved in illegal transplantation and organ trafficking, the police said on Saturday.

KoSSev portal reported that police and health inspectors raided on Friday a private clinic in Caglavica village, confiscating copies of medical records and other documents. The suspects were sent to detention.
