Kosovo’s Ministry of Finance announced that it remains committed to undertaking actions to address all requirements and challenges victims of sexual violence during the conflict in Kosovo face. In a statement, Minister Bedri Hamza said victims of sexual violence during conflict are “the most sensitive category” of society and that they will be treated with utmost priority.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has said that EU officials should not "abuse" the pro-European orientation of citizens of Kosovo.

Beta reported him as saying that this pro-European orientation has been abused by individuals in the EU in order to humiliate Kosovo or delay its European perspective.

"Kosovo needs to move quickly towards a concrete European perspective, not a process that can last five, ten or 20 years," Thaci has told the Klan Kosova broadcaster.

A store owned by an Albanian resident of “Kodra e Minatoreve” neighbourhood in the northern part of Mitrovica was stoned last night as well as a house further down the street owned by Cerani family. Nysret Cerani, owner of the house, told KTV that at the time the house was stoned he also heard gunshots being fired and alleged that members of the Serb community are behind the attack.

The decreeing ceremony for Serb judges and prosecutors from the north of Kosovo set to take place today has failed, Klan Kosova reports. The judicial officials were supposed to take an arranged transport from Mitrovica to Pristina to attend the decreeing ceremony with President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, but failed to show up. The decreeing of Serb judges and prosecutors was scheduled to take place today to pave way for implementation of the justice agreement reached between Pristina and Belgrade in the framework of the dialogue for normalisation of relations.

A fourteen-month-old child has died in Pristina today after being diagnosed with measles. “A child of the Roma community, 14 months, has died. The child was diagnosed with measles and was not vaccinated,” Hamdi Ramadani from the Kosovo Clinical and University Centre said.

In a meeting in Pristina today, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci asked his Albanian counterpart Ilir Meta to enable the people of Kosovo getting Albanian citizenship to be able to move freely. “After the demarcation was imposed as necessary criteria for visa liberalisation, I see no perspective of the Assembly passing this issue. The EU approach also forces me ask the President of Albania to allow citizens from Kosovo apply for dual citizenship as the only hope for free movement,” Thaci said.

Kosovo’s Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic, said that the Serbian List will insist on the creation of the new municipality of Prilluzhe/Priluzje, a village with predominantly Serb population. Jevtic said the government of Kosovo should take the decision on creating the new municipality not for political reasons but to help the local population.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said today that information from relevant institutions do not support allegations that Minister of Agriculture, Nenad Rikalo, was involved in any criminal offence during the conflict in Kosovo.

The government of Kosovo has authorized its commission to review the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro. Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said the commission should conclude its review “in optimal time” and present its findings.

David L. Phillips, Director of the Program on Peace-building and Rights at Columbia University’s Institute for the Study of Human Rights, presented to the students of the American University in Kosovo a review of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and stressed that “a dialogue needs to be a state-to-state negotiations about Serbia recognizing Kosovo.”
