Self-Determination: Kosovo will be the second BiH with the ZSO (N1)

One of the main topics of talks between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels is about the Association/Community of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO). Attitudes are different in Serbia and Kosovo on jurisdiction and the format of this Association/Community. Question of jurisdiction of the ZSO is completed, said Edita Tahiri, and Ilir Deda of Self-Determination claims that Kosovo will be the second BiH with this community.

The question of the powers of the Community/Association of Serbian municipalities, the head of Kosovo's negotiating team, Edita Tahiri considered complete.

Insufficient number of Serbs in institutions in Kosovo (RTS)

In the course of dialogue in Brussels, the representation of Serbs in Kosovo's public institutions and companies was not mentioned, even though it is far below the legal requirements. According to the Serbian representatives in the Kosovo government, the number of Serbs in public institutions is far below the guaranteed 10 per cent.

There are between two and three per cent of Serbs in public institutions and enterprises.

Jevtić, Kostić: Collective centers to be closed (KIM Radio)

Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtić and Mayor of Gračanica/Graçanicë Vladeta Kostić yesterday agreed that collective centers should be closed as soon as possible on the territory of Gračanica/Graçanicë Municipality, and other municipalities, too.

 Jevtić and Kostić yesterday signed the agreement on division of rights and obligations beetwen the Ministry and Gračanica/Graçanicë Municipality with regard to housing premises.

Jevtic: Better cooperation leads to sustainable return (KIM radio,Tanjug)

A conference on improvement of cooperation between the majority and minority communities, as well as between the central and local government in Kosovo, was organized in Pristina in the scope of the USAID Advancing Kosovo Together (AKT) program.

At the Effective Representation of Communities' Interests in Local and Central Government in Kosovo conference held on Tuesday, Kosovo Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtic said that improvement in cooperation between local and central authorities creates conditions for sustainable return.

Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtic attended the session of the Kosovo parliament’s committee for the rights and interests of communities and return, chaired by the MP from the Serbian List Jasmina Zivkovic.

Minister Jevtic said at the committee’s session that Ministry for Communities and Return is the institution focused on developing policies that promote and protect the rights of all communities and facilitation of the return process.

First meeting of the inter-ministerial group on return (RTK2)

The first session of the Kosovo government’s inter-ministerial group on return will be held on Friday, 3 May, in Pristina.

The group will be chaired by the Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtic. Representatives of the EU Office in Kosovo, international missions, UNHCR, IOM and OSCE will also be present, along with ministers and members of the group, at the introductory meeting, communicated the Ministry.

Jevtić: Responsible for crimes must be punished (KIM Radio)

The Serbian List will support constitutional amendments for creation of the special court, said Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtic, and stressed that its creation is important for the future of Kosovo. “Those who committed crimes must be held responsible,” said Jevtic.

Kosovo parliament’s session dedicated to constitutional amendments and the draft law on the creation of the special court for war crimes committed by the Kosovo Liberation Army is set for tomorrow.
