Shooting in the village Boštovo (Kontakt plus radio)

Three persons were injured in a shooting that occurred near the village Boštovo, in the north of Kosovo. KPS spokesman for the southern part of Mitrovica, Avni Haliti told Radio Kontakt Plus that still there is no accurate information about the incident.

"One person was injured, and two injured are in Pristina. It was an incident that happened in the woods on the hill. It is about the shooting, but so far we do not have precise information, details or motives of this," said Haliti.

Session of Municipal Assemblies of northern Kosovo scheduled for today (Kontakt plus radio)

Councillors of four municipalities in northern Kosovo will hold an emergency session today in Zvecan/Zveqan, regarding political and security situation in this part of Kosovo.

The session was scheduled after the meeting held on August 20, at which were present majors, presidents of municipal assemblies, the heads of the provisional institutions of municipalities in northern Kosovo and the chiefs of the district.

Albanian deputies announced the boycott of a joint session, assessing the session as "an open provocation", carried the Kosovo media.

Labels against EULEX appear overnight in Mitrovica (Kontakt plus radio)

In Mitrovica last night, messages urging EULEX to go home were plastered at various locations in the city, including traffic signs. The posters add that the EU mission in Kosovo is "the enemy of the Serbian people."

The labels feature a swastika next to the EULEX logo.

Some of the labels contain the words: "EULEX GO HOME". Aside from Mitrovica, the messages have also been seen at several locations in Zubin Potok.

The perpetrator is not known.

Petrovic re-elected president of SLS in Kosovo (Politika,Kontakt plus,Tanjug)

PRISTINA - The Independent Liberal Party (SLS) re-elected in Pristina on Sunday Slobodan Petrovic as their president.

Petrovic is also the minister of administration and local government and deputy prime minister in Kosovo's provisional government.

The SLS has close to 8,000 members, he said in a report presented at the election meeting, adding he hoped SLS officials would be in Kosovo's next government as well.

Two Serbs from Babin Most were sentenced to long prison terms (Kontakt plus radio, KiM radio)

Two Kosovo Serb from Babin Most were sentenced to a total of 22 years in prison for committing a war crime against the civilian population.

The Appellate Court in Pristina reversed the decision of Municipal Court in Mitrovica North and sentenced two Kosovo Serbs Jovica Dejanovic (54) and Djordje Bojkovic (72) to a total of 22 years in prison for committing a war crime against the civilian population. Dejanovic was sentenced to imprisonment of 12 years and Bojkovic 10 years.
