Germany doesn’t grant asylum to Kosovo migrants (KosovaPress)

The German Ambassador to Kosovo, Angleika Viets, said on Thursday that Kosovo people who are migrating abroad will not receive asylum in Germany, because according to her,  economic situation is not a reason to get asylum. Viets said that Germany will refuse asylum applications, even though the number of applicants has increased.  Viets also added that Serbia and any other country that claims to enter the European Union has to normalize their neighborly relations.

The Deputy President of  European Parliament,  Ulrike Lunacek in an opinion piece for Kosova Sot, has raised her concerns whether the new government will be able to bring change and reform, which are so urgently needed in Kosovo. Lunacek calls on the new government to strictly follow some priorities, including strengthening the rule of law and legal system, combat corruption and organized crime and to work more on economic development.

Collaku: Kosovo and EU to sign SAA in 2015? (Radio Kosova)

Kosovo Minster for European Integration, Bekim Collaku told Radio Kosova that the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) is expected to happen in the first half of next year. Collaku said that the government of Kosovo welcomes the call of the Council for General Affairs to the European Council to submit as soon as possible the proposal for signing the SAA between Kosovo and the EU. Collaku also met with Belgium Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration, Theo Francken, and discussed about the integration process with a focus on visa liberalization.

Illegal migration affects the visa liberalization (Radio Kosova)

The requests for asylum of many Kosovars in the Schengen countries, have affected the visa liberalization process for Kosovo, Radio Kosova reports. EU officials in Pristina, say that this is not in the interest of Kosovo and that Kosovo institutions should address this issue as soon as possible.

EU officials in Pristina told Radio Kosova that Kosovo must fulfill all the requirements arising from visa liberalization roadmap, before the European Commission proposes to put Kosovo on the" white list ".
