The agreement on the headquarters of Transport Community Treaty Permanent Secretariat has been signed in Belgrade on Friday, the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Serbia, said in a statement.

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj on Tuesday requested a bilateral meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.

According to our reporter in London, the Serbian delegation refused the request, but after it was repeated, a brief meeting took place.

The European Union and Serbia agreed on Monday that the Western Balkans Transport Community headquarters would be in Belgrade, the Beta news agency reported.

The block and Belgrade clinched the deal during the EU Summit on Western Balkans taking part in London in the presence of Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

"It's been confirmed that wherever everyone from the region gathers, some short circuit occurs. British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson didn't even come to the gathering, because he resigned. Should we go to some other countries, too?," the Serbian foreign minister asked jokingly.

Great Britain will host the EU-Western Balkan Summit in London on Monday and Tuesday, with less than a year until its exit from the European Union becomes a reality.

This fifth summit convened under the Berlin Process will bring together top officials of six Western Balkan countries, European institutions' representatives, as well as top officials of nine EU member-states, including Croatia's Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and Interior and Foreign Ministers Davor Bozinovic and Marija Pejcinovic Buric.

Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj said at the Vienna Economic Forum in Sofia that Kosovo is a very favourable market to accommodate foreign direct investments. “Kosovo is a small country with only 2 million inhabitants and we are among few countries to have spent the money from our budget for huge infrastructure projects. It is now time for new investment in many fields, especially in mining and telecom. We are open to all investors and this forum is a good opportunity to share these possibilities,” Haradinaj said.

Both Spain and Kosovo will take part in the EU-Western Balkans summit in Sofia but the host of the event, the Bulgarian presidency of the EU, has not made it clear whether Madrid has agreed to Kosovo’s presentation as a country. The Bulgarian presidency confirmed Kosovo’s participation at the summit but did not comment on whether its state symbols will be used.
