Alliance for Serbia: Who stands behind threats of Srpska Lista (Danas, Vecernje Novosti)

“Following the latest threats by Srpska Lista from Kosovo and Metohija, that they would come to search the opposition leaders in their flats and houses, the Alliance for Serbia reminds they were waiting for them last time as well, but they did not appear,” Danas daily reports, referring to the statement of this political alliance.

“Probably they did not manage to (arrive) because they had to collect rents for houses and flats they all have in Belgrade first,” the Alliance for Serbia said, referring to Srpska Lista members.

Nikola Jovanovic on needed systematic changes in Serbia, Kosovo issue (BETA, B92)

Deputy Leader of People’s Party, Nikola Jovanovic assessed today that Serbia needs systematic changes, BETA news agency reported.

Jovanovic added it includes the introduction of lustration, the urgent passing of the law on property origin and the appointment of a special prosecutor for high corruption.

“The main aim of the Alliance for Serbia is to establish a normal society and legal state, in which authorities will not be part of organized crime, bids will not be set in advance, strategic enterprises such as PKB and EPS will not be sold,” Jovanovic said.

Additional reactions to Vucic’s visit in Kosovo (Serbian media)

Historian, Cedomir Antic, commenting on Vucic’s visit in Kosovo, told Danas daily his speech in Mitrovica North was a tip of a needless spectacle.

It seems the visit of Aleksandar Vucic in the north of Kosovo did not have significance, he attributed to it few days prior to the visit, Antic said, adding that the speech for which Vucic claimed would be the hardest and the most important in his career, turned to be an average literature exercise, slightly expanded than usual, with few more quotations then he is used to, Danas daily reported.

Opposition Alliance formed, with some dissent among DS ranks (BETA, Blic)

Nine members of the Democratic Party's (DS) main board have voted against the formation of the Alliance for Serbia, and their party's participation in it.

At the same time, 180 members of this body were in favor, the DS reported on its website.

Daily Blic named the dissenting members of the main board as former DS leader Dragan Sutanovac, National Assembly members Natasa Vuckovic, Dragoljub Micunovic, Radoslav Milojcic, Gordana Comic, Vojovodina Provincial Board Chairman Miroslav Vasim, and Vida Ognjanovic.

Leader of Peoples’ Party Vuk Jeremic told Danas daily that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic “is a pathological coward,” since he lacks strength to face Jeremic either in TV duel or the courtroom, while he is publicly commenting his statements almost on a daily basis.
