In line with Kosovo laws and the Brussels Agreement, Association of Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo will have neither executive nor monitoring jurisdiction, instead it will have a coordination and advisory role. Serbian side knows this as of the moment of signing the Brussels agreement. I am following the debate between officials in Serbia – I advise them to stay away from illusions and think about what was agreed in Brussels.

By normalization of relations Pristina implies that they will submit a lawsuit for genocide against Serbia, while in the same time they expect from Belgrade to enable it through recognizing ‘Republic of Kosovo’ at the United Nations. It could be said that Hashim Thaci’s announcement is highly cynical since Kosovo is not entitled formally to submit lawsuit in front of the International Court of Justice since it is not a UN member state.
