Chepurin on Kosovo “hallways diplomacy” (RTS)

Kosovo special operation “hallways diplomacy” continues, but it in no way influences the Russian position, Ambassador Alexander Chepurin told RTS.

Commenting on Paris ceremony protocol gaffes, Chepurin noted the world would always remember the heroism of the soldiers who won the war, “and among them distinguished place belongs foremost to the Serbian, Russian and French heroes.” Ambassador Chepurin also added that “the history is stronger than ceremonies,” RTS reported.

At Sunday's ceremony in Paris marking 100 years since the end of the First World War, the place behind Vladimir Putin was given to Hashim Thaci.

Many are today commenting on the decision of the organizer, some consider it scandalous, and the media also write about "only the alphabetic order" being important.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said "the protocol for this event certainly did not reflect the relation of forces."

More than seventy world leaders attended a ceremony in Paris on November 11, marking the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that brought World War One to an end. The central commemoration was held at the Triumphant Gate, near the western end of the Champs-Élysées. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci also attended the ceremony, KoSSev portal reports.
