Serbia allocates EUR one million for Notre-Dame reconstruction (Serbian Government, B92)

The Serbian Government has sent financial aid in the amount of one million euros to France for the reconstruction of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, that was badly damaged in a catastrophic fire in the night of April 15, B92 reported quoting the statement of the government. The government said that this decision "confirms centuries of friendship with the French people and expresses the desire to rebuild the symbol of French and global civilization as soon as possible and open this temple of culture and art for all of its future devotees."  

Visoki Decani on Notre Dame: May God grant speedy reconstruction of this beautiful church (KoSSev)

The monks of the Serbian Orthodox Church Monastery of Visoki Decani expressed their deep solidarity with all Christians and citizens of France regarding the fire that ravaged Notre Dame on Monday. „May God grant the speedy reconstruction of this beautiful church so that it may rise again in all its splendor,“ they said. A fire broke out in the famous Notre Dame cathedral in Paris on Monday afternoon. It spread quickly and the spire of the cathedral completely burned and collapsed, after which the entire roof also collapsed. The fire lasted several hours, and the structure was preserved.
