NISMA expected to address Constitutional Court on President Thaci’s involvement in Drenas municipal elections? (Indeksonline)

The news website reports that the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) is planning to seek an opinion from the Constitutional Court of Kosovo on President Hashim Thaci’s involvement in the municipal elections in Drenas/Glogovac. NISMA officials however have neither denied nor confirmed the information. Citing unnamed sources, Indeksonline reports that NISMA is planning to hire an international lawyer for the matter. The same sources said NISMA have collected sufficient material which they hope will prove to the court that President Thaci is violating the Constitution.

Thaci: Malta strongly supports Kosovo (Koha)

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is visiting Malta today where he met Malta’s President, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca. “Malta was among the first countries to recognize the independence of Kosovo. In the last eight years, Malta has been a strong supporter of Kosovo’s European future. At the meeting with President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, we agreed that relations between our two countries should be continue also in the areas of economy, education and culture,” Thaci wrote on his Facebook profile.

Thaci commends ICRC for its efforts on missing persons issue (Koha)

In a meeting with the head of mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Kosovo, Agim Gashi, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci, praised the organization for its role in determining the fate of missing persons. Thaci said he appreciated the ICRC’s commitment for each missing person equally, regardless of their ethnic background. He also pledged to continue supporting the work of the ICRC, especially in the issue of missing persons.

Thaci: The rights of persons with dissabilities, a constitutional obligation (Telegrafi)

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci met today the President of the Association of Persons with Special Needs in Kosovo, Agim Vatovci, with whom he discussed about the work done by this organization and the challenges it is facing. On the verge of the International Day of Persons with Dissabilities, Thaci said it is the obligation of all people to respect the Constitution and laws in force, which prohibit the discrimination of these groups in education, health, employment and other services.

Thaçi meets Meta (Koha Ditore)

The President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci has met these days during his visit to Tirana with the Albanian  state leaders. Today, Thaçi took to Facebook to inform that he met with the President of the Albanian Parliament, Ilir Meta. “We should continue with exchange of inter-state experiences, in order to strengthen further parliamentary democracy in Albania and Kosovo. Albania has made decisive steps towards EU membership, while Kosovo after SAA expects visa liberalization and increased dynamics towards EU membership.

President Thaci pays homage at Rugova’s grave (Kosovapress)

Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci laid flowers today at the grave of former President Ibrahim Rugova on the occasion of November 28. “As part of the November holidays, today we pay the highest state honors to the first President of the Republic of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova, for his sacrifices for the freedom and independence of Kosovo and his engagement in raising international awareness about the issue of Kosovo,” President Thaci said.

Germany calls for continued dialogue with Serbia, but also internal dialogue with Serbs (Koha)

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci met today in Pristina Christian Hellbach, director for Eastern Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. Thaci thanked Hellbach for Germany’s support to Kosovo, not only in foreign policy but also the financial support in various sectors. Thaci said that Germany remains a very important partner for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path. He also informed Hellbach on the changes that started for the amendment of Criminal Code in order to further consolidate the rule of law in Kosovo.

Dacic, and Thaci, to attend "La Francophonie" summit (B92)

Serbian Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic will attend the November 22-26 Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie in Madagascar.

Tanjug reported on Tuesday that this event is "also expected to be attended by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci."

President of France Francois Hollande has also been announced to attend the event, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, adding that Dacic was expected to "try to prevent further recognitions of Kosovo."
