Jevtic and Kozarev visited displaced in Banjica (KIM radio)

Minister for Communities and Returns Dalibor Jevtic and Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Dusan Kozarev visited yesterday displaced persons in the camp in Banjica.

Jevtic explained that displaced persons were mostly from the municipalities of Istok/Istog and Klina/Kline. He said that the conditions in which these people live for 12 years were bad and that it was necessary to offer a permanent solution.

About the abolition of Ivanovic's detention at a closed session (KIM radio)

The Basic court in Mitrovica has resumed the trial of Oliver Ivanovic and another four Serbs with the examination of Murat and Dorata Shkodra. On Thursday at a closed session will be discussed the abolition of detention to Ivanovic and Delibasic, said defence.

Ljubomir Pantovic, Ivanovic's defence lawyer, said to Kontakt plus radio that witnesses, Murat and Durata Shkodra, have not linked Ivanovic with the indictment.

Serbian Orthodox Church warns of danger of admitting Kosovo to UNESCO (KIM radio, Vecernje Novosti, Tanjug)

The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) has sent a letter on Tuesday to Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova, warning that the acceptance of Kosovo's membership bid would endanger the Christian cultural heritage and the Serbs' religious and human rights.

In the letter signed by Patriarch Irinej, the Synod points out that the OSCE has documented systematic post-war destruction of at least 392 Serbian Orthodox cemeteries in Kosovo, which are still in deplorable condition.

Hoxha: Not enough minorities in the institutions (TV Most, KIM radio)

Deputy Minister of Justice Nusret Hodza, recently appointed from ranks of the Srpska List, said that there are not enough members of the minority in Kosovo institutions, especially in responsible positions.

Speaking about his ministry, the Ministry of Justice, Hodza said that no matter how hard you try, unfortunately, judicial processes are slow.

Djuric today in Strpce/Shterpce (KIM radio)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric will be visiting Strpce/Shterpce today. He will visit Strpce/Shterpce Red Cross, raspberry field and work on the construction of two apartment buildings.

As announced by the Office, Djuric will meet with political representatives of the Serbs and directors of public institutions in the building of the Red Cross in Brezovica.

Establishment of the ZSO in three months is impossible (KIM Radio)

The head of the parliamentary group of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Assembly Slavko Simic says that ZSO will not be formed in three months due to institutional barriers. However, he expects that the elements for the formation of the ZSO will be made soon and that Kosovo's government will soon request the opinion of the Constitutional Court about the Community/Association of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO).

Continuation of the trial to Oliver Ivanovic (KIM Radio)

After the summer break today in the Municipal Court in Kosovska Mitrovica will be resumed the trial to Oliver Ivanovic.  Ivanovic is charged with the criminal offense of war crimes against civilians during 1999 and 2000. The trial will resume by the testimonies of prosecution witnesses. So far, in the court proceeding against Ivanovic and another four Serbs, were questioned 47 prosecution witnesses.

Djuric: Ideas on reciprocity for the ZSO are ridiculous and frivolous (KIM Radio)

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said that the ideas on the reciprocity to the Community / Association of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) are not grounded either in law, or in reality. "Certain local politicians from the southern Serbia stressed some ideas for some kind of reciprocity in relation to the ZSO. I can only say that we have heard these ideas and they look a bit ridiculous and frivolous.
